Hydro seeding
Hydroseeding is one of the most effective ways to establish a new lawn, faster than traditional seeding, more affordable than sod, and more consistent across large or uneven areas. We spray a professional-grade mixture of seed, fertilizer, mulch, and tackifier in a single pass, giving the seed everything it needs to germinate evenly and hold to the soil.
Hydroseeding is a good fit for:

- Slopes and areas prone to erosion

Aeration and Topdressing

Topdressing follows, a thin layer of compost worked down into those channels improves soil structure, feeds the turf, and builds a healthier lawn from the ground up.

How often should my lawn be mowed? Most lawns in Southern Maine need mowing every seven to ten days during the growing season. We build schedules around your property and adjust based on growth rate, weather, and time of year.
When is the best time to aerate? Fall is the ideal window for most Maine lawns, the soil is still warm, the grass is actively growing, and it gives the turf time to recover before winter. Spring aeration is an option but we generally recommend fall when possible.
Do I need to do anything before an aeration visit? Mow the lawn at a normal height before we arrive and mark any shallow irrigation heads, invisible fence lines, or septic covers so we can work around them. That is all we need from you.
How long after aeration should I wait before mowing? Give it about a week. The plugs need time to break down and the turf needs time to begin recovering before it takes another cut.
Can you aerate and topdress in the same visit? Yes, and that is how we prefer to do it. Aeration opens up the soil and topdressing works the compost down into those channels. Done together they get significantly better results than either service alone.
My lawn has a lot of bare patches. Will aeration fix that? Aeration improves what is already there, it will not fill in bare areas on its own. Depending on how much bare ground you have, we may recommend overseeding after aeration, or a more targeted approach like hydroseeding or sod for larger areas.
Do you offer seasonal lawn maintenance contracts? Yes. Clients on a maintenance schedule get consistent service from the same crew all season. It also means we are already familiar with your property when it comes time for aeration, cleanup, or any additional work.
